Short Hair

Postby ancazur on Wed Apr 21, 2010 4:36 pm

As some may know, I chopped off a good portion of my hair. But now I have to figure out how to style it.

It's now a little below my chin, not quite to my shoulders. If I don't do anything with it, it does a big, weird poof thing. So... product recommendations? I have gel, which I don't love, but it helps a bit to calm it down and show off how fun and wavy it is.

Have you tried straightening it? When I had mine that length I'd blow dry it to give it some volume (my hair likes to go flat) then straighten/curl it depending on what mood I was in.

Straightening it is easy enough (I have a fancy flat iron), but I rather like the wave.

Aaaah I see. Have you tried hair wax? That's good if you like it wavy/messy. Plus mine smells quite nice :P

I just cut mine shorter again too and am suffering from the same problem. I shower at night, blowdry it and then sleep on it...that takes a ton of the poofiness down.

hehe it's funny but I find that makes my hair much bigger! At night my flatmate jokes that my hair tells me when it's time to go to bed because it starts expanding on one side as if it's leading me to the bedroom!

I've recently bleached my hair again and so am currently looking like a strawberry blonde version of Crystal Tipps.

So I'm probably not the right person to give advice on this...

I can't stand blow-drying my hair. So far I've been using gel when it's damp (to tame it a bit), and it's working out okay. But I never know what it'll look like when I wake up in the morning.
